Summary Care Record project
The NHS in England is introducing Summary Care Records and letters are being sent to patients about them – you may already have received one.
The records will be used in emergency and will contain information about any medicines you are taking, allergies you suffer from and any bad reactions to medicines you have had, to ensure those caring for you have enough information to treat you safely. Patients have a choice which the letter and accompanying brochure explains. You can see the letter here and the brochure here.
