What's it about?
Facilitated by the NHS Swindon Carer Liaison Team, the event will include an exercise demonstration by the Hindu Samaj Women’s group, an opportunity to try tai chi, as well as art workshops and a number of other alternative therapies, including head and hand massages.
Carers aged 40-74 years old can have a free health check as well as cholesterol and blood pressure tests. A wide range of food options will be available plus refreshments throughout the day. Although the event is aimed at all carers, the team is aiming to reach out to carers from Swindon’s black and minority ethnic (BME) communities.
